Meet 6-year-old Poppy Sellier of our Diocese, who after 8 months, was finally able to leave Inova Children's Hospital this past week. Now back home with her siblings and parents, she celebrates the end of 5 rounds treatment for Acute Myeloid Leukemia! • Poppy’s mom shared with us, “We had a first class relic of Therese de Lisieux in the Hospital room the entire 8 months. Someone lent her to us and we were touched. As you know she is the “little flower” and Poppy is our little flower. Both suffering pain at a young age, we felt particularly connected to her through it all.” • Bishop Burbidge and Poppy pictured here playing legos at Inova weeks before Poppy was discharged. Bishop Burbidge shared with Poppy’s Dad during his visit, “Your family has really been a beautiful witness to our faith. It’s a powerful testimony to other families in our diocese.” • Thank you Sellier’s for your witness of faith and God bless you Poppy! 🌸💪🏼👏🏼
